Work Project
Work Project Update 6/6/2008:
Work Project is still happening. Like last year we will be working on projects in Glen Helen. Invasive species mitigation and trail maintenance for the adventurous and scraping and paint prep. Additional indoor projects are available in Antiochiana.
Glen Helen Tasks:
1. Shack demolishion in Glen Helen area behind power plant. This task will require a little hiking and some hauling
2. Skilled gardening 1-2 people needed to transplant spice bush with Glen Helen’s gardener.
3. Honeysuckle removal at 343 area of the glen. Bow saws will be used and anyone chainsaw certified will be gladly utilized. Involves cutting down and applying Round-up to prevent this invasive species from taking over at the glen.
4. Exterior scraping and paint prep at the farmhouse dormitory in Glen Helen.
5. Birch Manor Garage scraping and painting.
Despite our best efforts housing has proven illusive for work project. We have several offers for homestay’s in town. Please let us know if you would like us to set up homestay for you. Contact Us
As in years past working together and eating together are all part of the fun. We will gather at 7:00AM each morning for breakfast and organizing at the Coretta Scott King Center. We will come together again for lunch at noon.
Dinners are at 6pm each day at various eateries in and around Yellow Springs. These meals are dutch treat and arranged in advance. This years dinner schedule is as follows:

June 18th Winds Cafe Link and Special Bistro dinner also available Local Swiss Chard & Spinach Tart with Roasted Vegetables include salad, half bottle of wine, dessert, coffee or tea $26. Bistro Dinners are made in limited quantity, reservations of your bistro meal in advance are recommended.
