Transportation
Airports:
Yellow Springs is accessible from the Dayton (DAY) or Columbus (CMH) airports, with Columbus often offering significantly lower fares and more flights. The drive to your hotel from the Dayton airport is around 30 minutes, while the drive from the Columbus airport is an hour or more (so there is a trade-off), but you may want to compare the options.
We are posting those needing & offering transport from the airport ride board. Let us know if we can post an offer or need for ground transportation for you on the board.
Ground Transportation
As we do not have student drivers available this year, options for transportation between the airport and campus or your hotel are:
Dayton:
Taxi Starter service is available free of charge between 7:00 AM and midnight (or 30 minutes past the arrival time of the last flight, whichever is later) 365-days a year. The Taxi Starter is located in a booth directly in front of the Terminal and can also be reached at (937) 890-3217. Upon your request, the Taxi Starter will cue a taxi to take you to your destination. Cab fare to Yellow Springs is approximately $60.
Charter Vans – Transportation is available to and from the Dayton Airport 6am -5pm Monday - Saturday and through 12am Sunday with Charter Vans. Please call them directly with your flight information and reference Antioch College reunion. They will group riders according to arrival time for the best rates available. Rates will vary depending on number of people 800-874-0934 .
1 person $50.00 one way
2 people traveling together— $25.00 per person one way
3 or more people traveling together— $18.00 per person one way
Columbus:
Rental cars are perhaps the best option for transport to and from columbus. An economy car rented Thursday-Sunday on Expedia.com runs approximately $17/day or $70.12 for Thursday - Sunday. We are happy to post on the rideshare board for anyone wanting to share a rental car or offer/request rides.
Super Shuttle will run shuttles to and from Antioch. The cost for 1-3 people is $150, 6 passengers is $210. Supper Shuttle will group Antiochians arriving around the same time for maximum discount. Call them and reference Antioch Reunion at 614-252-5555.
